Tom,
Greetings from LaGrange, Georgia. I am the grandson of Sidney Cox. I presume you're aware of him and his contribution to Salvation Army music. He and his wife, Violet served as officers in Canada from 1910-1922, and in the Southern Territory of the USA South until 1944.
Sidney wrote between 300-400 songs and choruses, 70 of which were ultimately published in The Musical Salvationist in London.
I would be interested in corresponding with you regarding what recordings of his music that you might have in your archives, or what other memorabilia that you might have that relates to his life. I have done a great deal of research recently about the lives of my grandparents.
You could call me at 706-845-8102 or email me at doug.cox@mindspring.com.
Thanks in advance for any assistance that you might be able to provide.
Sincerely, Doug Cox
